Sun Valley Canoeing

Have you ever dreamed about gliding down a river winding its way through some of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of countryside you could imagine? If so, then the Sun Valley Canoeing Company has been designed with you in mind.

Formed in 1988, it specialises in Canadian-style canoe trips for families, office parties, businesses, sports clubs or any type of outdoor organisation, along a stretch of the River Severn in Shropshire which teems with wildlife. The longest river in Britain winds its spectacular way through the most beautiful parts of the country. Nor do you have to be an expert to be able to enjoy the wonder of it all.

Novices are equally well catered for. You will find the organisation provides a wide range of itineraries, from day trips to weekend or midweek breaks, including overnight stops, from April through to the end of October.

Two of the most popular trips are from Bridgnorth to Arley and Bewdley respectively and on each of these there is the added attraction of a return journey on the Severn Valley Railway steam train. You will be provided with all the necessary equipment and buoyancy aids and you will be given a short safety talk before you set out.
